Amenities: Nature loop, hiking trails, exercise room, laundry room, heated pool, lots of activities & more. They even had a craft sale/yard sale day which was pretty fun.
Wifi/Cell Reception: Great free wifi but Chris’s sprint cell coverage wasn’t working too great. I have AT&T cell and it worked fine.
Pet Friendly: Yes, they have two dog runs but there isn’t much grass because- hey- it is the desert.
Favorite things to do in the area:
There are some amazing hiking trails in the back of the park. We walked them pretty much every day. We saw lots of birds, cacti, gorgeous sunsets and even a coyote.
- Arizona- Sonora Desert Museum: This place is a must see. I loved it even more than the National Park. It is more of a living museum/zoo with walking paths, gardens, and more. The hummingbird exhibit was my favorite.
- Saguaro National Park (West): The National park is only a short distance from the RV Park. It’s got some pretty amazing views. You can check out our blog post about it here.
Favorite place for eats & drinks:
- Prep and Pastry: This restaurant had some great coffee, pastries and food. Would love to go back sometime and have brunch.
- Dragoon Brewing: This place had some pretty tasty brews. We met up with some of our RVer friends here and had a great time. They had a food truck outside too with some grub.
Recommended: Yes, we definitely recommend Desert Trails it is a really cool park and the hiking trails were a big bonus. It’s supposed to be 40 and up but they weren’t strick about this. I think it’s mainly to keep kids out.
